Our Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers will need to complete the following steps to become a volunteer. 
1) Safesport training (once a year)
2) Register as a Volunteer on our WAM website (Every season)
3) Background check (every 2 years)

Volunteers who are new to Safesport will need to create an account through this link.

• Use the enrollment key: JJFAQsQPWNRj01edWcPr
• You can leave N/A under the Organizations Member ID.
• For the name of the Community Organization, please put WAM United Soccer Club
• Use the same email/login throughout the Volunteer process. This will help connect your certifications to the CJSA website.
• When completed the training, download the certificate, as you may need to upload at a later date if it didn't transfer automatically. 

New Volunteers will need to take the course Safesport Trained Core: 90 minutes

Returning Safesport Users can take the refresher course through this link.

• Returning Safesport users need to do a refresher course annually. Please take notice to which refresher course you need to take next.  There are three refresher courses that need to be taken in order. 
• Go to menu: My courses and it should say Start on the next course you need to take.

Once Safesport is completed, please register as a volunteer on our WAM website. We need your information here to connect you to your players and other volunteers. 

• This needs to be done every season even for our returning volunteers so we can connect you to your roster/team.

• If you cannot find the team you are intending on volunteering for. Please sign up for any team/or role and contact Megan  ([email protected]) to transfer you to the correct team.  
• Login and go to My Account> Volunteer> Find Volunteer Roles

 

Any on-field volunteer has to get a background check with the CJSA. 

• Log in to the WAM Website and go to My Account> Volunteer. The tab will look different after registering and you will now see the progress of certifications.
• To complete the background check, click the Risk Status box and Renew and Update
• This needs to be updated every two years and you can see if it has expired here

 

Please note, it is not required to have a Coaching License, Coaching certificate or Concussion Certificate. Although Concussion is recommended and the link can be found below
